About us
Another celeb in the Dutch climbing scene. Aukje is climbing for over two decades now and she has seen many climbing gyms in the Netherlands and beyond.
Her most noteworthy coaching experience comes from being head coach of several Dutch climbing teams in the last years. Aukje has obtained a master degree at the Johan Cruyff academy and joined the master coach program by the Dutch Olympic committee (NOC*NSF). You will most likely not find a more well certified coach in the Netherlands when it comes to climbing.
Aukje is not only to be found on the side line, she also likes tying in at the sharp end of the rope. She loves cruising many hard moves in a row and clipping chains. The most impressive ascent of her climbing career is Rauhfaser in Frankenjura, graded as German 10-, which equals a serious 8a.
Last year was a year full of injuries and Aukje’s short-term goal is to get that pumpy feeling again without any injuries. And if all goes well, why not send a 8a+? If you train hard and smart, anything is possible.
About us
She is celebrating her silver jubilee with 25 years of climbing experience under her belt. Of that quarter century, she has spent fifteen years in competition. This love for plastic delivered her, not one or two, but even three national titles (lead climbing in 2004 and 2005, bouldering in 2009).
It was not only plastic that Rachel crushed, also the rock was not safe for her physical strength and endurance. Rachel clipped the chains of two 8a+’s, one in Frankenjura (Center Court) and one in Berdorf (Hermann Buhl). It is lead climbing that fits her physical characteristics the best, but indoors she likes the playfulness and social aspects of bouldering.
Rachel has a background in human movement science, which gives together with her climbing experience, a perfect profile for being an excellent trainer. Many trainers in the Netherlands will know her since she was their tutor. And above all, she is psyched to share her passion for training and shift your limits beyond what you think is possible.
About us
The love for climbing all started with alpinism and sport climbing, and now Ron has been a passionate boulderer both indoors and outdoors for almost a decade. His home turf is, and has always been, bouldering gym Sterk in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Discipline comes naturally with Ron and combined with his background in bio-medical science, he soon developed in a fanatic and evidence driven DYI training beast. Now it is time to combine forces with climbing training professionals and spread all the knowledge gathered in the last years.
The hardest boulder ever sent outdoors by Ron checks in at 7B+, Magic Bus in his beloved Fontainebleau, France. Although he is trying to win the ever present age game, and given that Ron has a very busy personal and professional life, his ambition is never ever wavering. Therefore he is striving, with hard work, perseverance and dedication, to send a 7C in the coming years.
